PIANOTARIUM Sign on to ShipRocked 2010!

It's been an exciting (if cold and rainy) winter for us and now it's time to focus on sun and fun. So if you made a resolution to rock in 2010, then get ready…

Bryan and I are super excited to rock the high seas this November! We will hit the stage as 'Pianotarium' for two concerts on board ShipRocked, I'll be playing some solo piano gigs around the ship, and who knows what kind of impromptu jam sessions might ensue with all the rockin' talent on board!?

Who else will rock the boat? The one and only Cinderella; The supergroup HAIL!featuring Dave Ellefson (Megadeth), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and Tim 'Ripper' Owens (Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen); The Letter Black; Lynam; Broken Teeth; and the Niki Barr Band. And that's just the initial lineup! More ShipRockers are still being added!

ShipRocked 2010 will set sail from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida November 11-14, onboard the MSC Poesia. This year's cruise will feature two Bahamas port stops in both Nassau and the amazing private island of Coco Cay! Cabin prices will of course vary, but start at only $499 per passenger this year!

I'll be performing music from all my CD releases, and a little something new. It's also a great chance to meet, hear details that get lost on the bigger stages, and I'll be sharing the stories behind the songs and arrangements.

One Night at The Viper Room

Our gig last month at the legendary Viper Room in West Hollywood was a sensational evening! Pianotarium was the opening act of four bands total, yet we brought the most people through the door of any of them (and they were all great bands by the way).

We opened with 'Sweet Child O Mine.' I was to play the first half of the song by myself, then Bryan would enter from backstage and take a seat at the drums halfway through the song. But then we discovered there was no back stage!! So, as a joke, I told Bryan to 'Hold up this black sheet. Hide behind it for the first half of the song.' ..and he actually did it!! The audience didn't even know he was there until he lowered it, and then they started laughing and cheering! The two of us are sure gonna have some crazy silly fun on the road, haha!!

Bryan and I went on to perform 'Hotel California (Eagles) 'In the End' (Linkin Park), and a medley/mash-up of three Metallica songs 'Enter Sandman,' 'Nothing Else Matters,' and 'Master of Puppets.' I could feel the energy of all the great bands that have graced that stage before. Then, we thanked the audience and said goodnight, at which point they began stomping and shouting 'encore, encore!' But the Viper Room runs a tight ship, so we didn't have time to grant them one. Viper Room management later informed us of the many complaints they received that 'Pianotarium's set was too short.' WooHooo! Guess they'll let us play longer next time. :-)

We Can't Rock the World Alone

We have some big plans for the rest of this year and next! We are doing it all for you, and because of you, our fans! We are working to release a new CD this summer, to hit the road for our biggest tour yet, and put out a sheet music book for pianists (and piano students) who want to make this glorious instrument really rock!

We can't do all this alone, so I'm asking for your support, to do what you can to help us in ways big or small.

The small (but super important) ways you can help:

-Tell all your friends about our music. If you use Facebook, or MySpace, have a blog, or otherwise use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family.. You can post links to our videos, our Facebook page, our MySpace page. Post videos and/or write about us in your blogs, notes and emails. Share your excitement with everyone you know. It's amazing how far that will go!!

-Update your info on our mailing list. Use the link at the bottom of this newsletter to enter your address, name, etc.. If we know where our fans are located, then we know where we need to come do a show. Heck, get your whole town to sign up, and we'll have no choice but to come play a local show for you!

-Email us and tell us about venues in your area. Keep in mind, we are not ready to play arenas just yet, but if you know any clubs, bars, small theaters that feature live music.. please tell us about them!

-Vote for songs you'd like to hear Pianotarium cover. We'd love to know what songs you'd like to hear us play. We can't promise we'll be able to play everyone's favorite, but we will definitely listen to and consider your suggestions! Just reply to this email with any songs you would like to suggest..

The BIG ways to help:

-Host a house concert! If you have room to cram in 30 or more people, Pianotarium (or just me solo if you prefer) can turn your living room into a magical, intimate concert venue for the evening! I will even bring the piano and help you promote the show. And, it doesn't have to be your house. Perhaps your church or business would make a great setting for a concert.. or your backyard, or garage. The possibilities are endless. I played one concert in a Lexus dealership, and even did a show in a drained pool once! Want to know more? Just email me back.

-Invest. Obviously there are costs involved when it comes to recording, touring, and promoting. We'd like to avoid selling our souls to a major record company who would then own and control everything. Instead, we would rather see our fans benefit from our success than record company executives or anonymous bankers!

Obb gta san andreas 1.08. We've already got one fan who has invested in our new album (woohoo!) If you are interested in investing in Pianotarium, shoot me an email. I will fill you in on all the nitty-gritty details of our plan of action, what we need, and what you can expect as a return on your investment. Someone is going to make some money from our success; it may as well be you.
